I don't think that these products are commercially available at this time. Fischer International is working on a smart disk product that incorporates CAPSTONE. -Brian ====================================================================== Date: Thu, 19 Jan 1995 15:26:02 -0500 To: infsecur@smiley.mitre.org From: wneugent@smiley.mitre.org (Bill Neugent) Subject: MISSI in modem X-MDF: fnc re-routed to "fnc@mbunix.mitre.org" Folks, FYI, the modem I asked about appears to be an IRE A400S modem. Following is further info. Thanx to all. Also, does anyone know which government agency is spending $500,000 to buy these? Bill From John Wendell: IRE has an A400S in development (as of 11/28/94) under the MISSI program with NSA funding. I ... called them up and spoke to John Fried. My notes from the conversation indicate March 28 as target date for 10 production units. Note this is an upgrade of a DES based modem to inline Capstone/Fortezza. From Judy Furlong: I picked up some product literature at the MISSI conference on the IRE A400S Secure Skipjack Modem. The product literature does not mention Capstone, but does state that the modem will be interoperable with the FORTEZZA card.
